Subscription Terms

Last updated: 9 September 2026

These Subscription Terms explain how billing, trials, upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations work for Stach plans, and form part of our Terms & Conditions.

1. Plans

Stach offers a Free Plan and paid plans (Pro, Bookkeeping Only, Payroll Only) as described on our Pricing page. Each plan has defined limits on users, customers, employees, and monthly invoices.

2. Free Trial

New accounts on paid plans receive a 30-day free trial with full access to the selected plan’s features. No credit card is required to start a trial.

At the end of the trial, you may choose a paid plan to continue, downgrade to the Free Plan, or your account may be paused until a plan is selected.

3. Billing Cycle

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance, in South African Rand (ZAR), via the payment method on file. Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

4. Upgrades & Downgrades

Upgrades take effect immediately, with charges prorated for the remainder of the billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

5. Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge and notify you by email. Continued failure to pay may result in suspension of paid features until the account is settled.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle; no partial-month refunds are issued except as set out in our Refund Policy.

7. Changes to Pricing

We may change subscription pricing from time to time. Existing subscribers will be given at least 30 days’ notice before a price change takes effect on their account.
